It’s time for the weed report!

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day and the weather oracle says we are due for an unseasonably warm end of weekend/start to next week!  Time to climb out, start some yard work and get some SUN.  This week we’ve got some lovely Dutch Hawaiian from Rogue Raven that will take you to the tropics if the weather doesn’t quite do it for you.  And if you’ve got a lot of work to do check out the Cedar Creek Allen Wrench popcorn, as Dan puts it, “It’s the tool for the job!”  Coming in at 27% this is potent and in those perfect sized popcorn pellets just waiting to be jammed into your bowl.

Thursdays are the Acoustic Open Mic Jam – Join Jillian as she hosts Open Mic/Jams in the Detour’s state of the art acoustic venue.  Plugged or unplugged, bring your instruments, original songs, renditions of classic ones, or works in progress.  Free, 7-9pm

Sunday 3/17 – All Ages St. Patrick’s Day with Anamarca and The Shantymen – Come join us at the Detour for some good Irish craic. We start with Anamcara, literally “Soul Music” as they take us from 6-8pm with classic songs and tunes.  At 9, the Shantymen return with traditional Irish pub songs both classic and bawdy. From Sea Shanties, to pub sing-alongs, to rousing jigs and reels, join the Shantymen at the old public house. They’ll play until everyone goes away.  As always, we’ll have an informal potluck. Bring something to share if you wish, but only if you want. Irish food encouraged. Bring friends and family to this all ages event.  Designated drivers for groups of 4 get a free coffee or draft soft drink.  And it’s free! See you here. Free, 6-8pm
