It’s time for the weed report!

Quickly, I made a CBD display and am fairly gobsmacked by the quantity of different items we have.  The time is now to get into CBD, whether it is topically, an edible, vapor cartridge, bud or prerolls.  I enjoy a 1:1 ratio (equal parts CBD/THC) and describe the feeling I get to be like love, contentment, a happy glow.  There’s so much anecdotal evidence for CBD’s benefits however you should talk to your doctor if taking other medications.  Here’s an article about possible interactions between prescription medications and CBD.

I know you read this for my total candor.  Well, allow me to be completely unvarnished and say that things have been slow here at the store the last couple months.  We’ve experienced a combination of trials with the usual post-holidays slump, too much snow (that prevented employees from getting to work, kept customers from getting out and created a massive ripple effect in deliveries as everyone got behind schedule) and the government shut down.  It has come as a surprise to most people how the shut down made an impact, and let me tell you it touched a lot of local businesses, especially those on the 101 corridor, who usually serve visitors going to the Olympic National Park.  Those folks were gone for a month and we all felt it.  Luckily spring is here, the park is open and visitors are back in force.

This general slow down has had an impact on what’s on our shelves and has caused us to rethink our offerings.  We are moving away from having a million things to keeping only the most asked for, beloved products from the vendors that would be desperately missed if they disappeared.  We vote with our dollars and support the things we appreciate, always looking for the best quality, value and growing practices we can find.  The next time you come in the store let the budtender know what product(s) you love and why you love them as it will inform future purchases.

As we vote with our dollars, so do you, and your continued support of our store is what not only keeps us open and thriving but it helps our little Local 101 business community here including the Disco Bay Detour, Discovery Bay Village Store and Discovery Bay Outdoor Exchange.  The 20 or so employees between all these local businesses thank you!

We could not get through the slow times without our wonderful die hard regular customers.  Your support over the last four and a half years has been everything.  Serving you is truly a joy and we hope to continue doing so for as long as is humanly possible.
