It’s time for the weed report!

We’ve got a few new things in store this week:  limited amount of 7g bags of Surefire’s Banana Breath!  Mr. Moxey’s 2:1 CBD/THC mints in a proud rainbow tin! Dream City’s beautiful premium bud in 2g bags, that works out to $8.50/g! And probably the biggest news: Honu has returned!  Have you missed your peanut butter cups or the chocolate turtles?  Stop by on your way to the camp out for a 10 pack of Sa’Mores or Snowballs!

Check out our Leafly menu here.  The same menu is also available on our website.  You can also find us on Yelp and Google!  We love positive reviews, please consider leaving helpful comments so more people will check us out!  We sure do appreciate it!

This week at the Disco Bay Detour:

Wilderness Wednesdays at the Detour – Every Wednesday starting in April, 6-9pm
A Collaboration between Disco Bay Outdoor Exchange and Disco Bay Detour

Join Detour bartender, former wilderness ranger and current mountain guide Erin Reading for an evening focused on wilderness/outdoor adventure. The intention is to share collective knowledge with one another, build webs of connection among various outdoor communities, and to have fun delighting in one another’s adventure planning, stories, and questions. Everyone is encouraged to bring maps (yay!), trip planning ideas and resources, gear questions, pictures, or whatever else you feel inspired to ask or share.

While the foundation of Wilderness Wednesdays is simply a time to gather informally to pour over maps and share stories over drinks, some evenings will also feature a wilderness related presentation or workshop, with topics ranging from surfing, kayaking, backcountry skiing, and mountaineering to backpacking, flyfishing, local botany, and wild foraging. If you have a presentation or workshop you would like to share for one of the weeks (30-45min long presentation, plus some Q & A time) or a topic you would like to hear someone else speak about, contact Erin at erin.b.reading@gmail.com.

***Barring rain, we will have a fire going outside – feel free to bring something to grill on the schwenker or a snack/potluck dish to share if so inspired.***

For both experienced and aspiring outdoor adventurers – all are welcome! Hope to see you there!

Scheduled talks:
5/22: Salmon Recovery on the North Olympic Peninsula with North Olympic Salmon Coalitions’s Olivia Vito and Sarah Doyle – 7pm start
The North Olympic Salmon Coalition is a non-profit organization that works to support robust, wild salmon stocks for families, fishers, and local economies by furthering habitat restoration and education on the North Olympic Peninsula. Olivia and Sarah will be talking about some of their recent habitat restoration projects and youth education programs, all in the name of recovering wild salmon stocks and creating the next generation of environmental stewards. They’ll talk about the science behind habitat restoration and the many ways that you and your loved ones can get involved, starting at a local level.

5/29: TBD with Climbing Ranger Sam Siemens-Luthy

Thursdays are the Acoustic Open Mic Jam – Join Jillian as she hosts Open Mic/Jams in the Detour’s state of the art acoustic venue.  Plugged or unplugged, bring your instruments, original songs, renditions of classic ones, or works in progress.  Free, 7-9pm

Friday 5/24: New Victorian – Singer, songwriter and milt-instrumentalist Scott Taylor crafts ethereal folk tinged with country funk & plastic soul influences. Following the disbandment of No Go Know, New Victorian sprouted roots as a pointed downshift into nuanced reflection. Self-recorded over a period of several years in between duties as a husband, father and mental health social worker, “High Mass” presents a resonant song cycle detailing loss and reformation. New Victorian are currently prepping two EPs for release in 2019, while continuing to tour throughout the Pacific Northwest. Free, 7-9pm.
