It’s time for the weed report!

I missed sending one out last week, here’s what’s happened since the last report:

  • We have a new employee in the store!  Say hello to John when you see him!
  • Great $3 half gram joints from Liberty Reach
  • New most potent topicals we’ve had at such a great price. Thanks, Ceres! – 2oz RELAX balm with 350mg THC and Kava Kava for $15, 2oz RENEW 1:1 (175mg THC and CBD) with St. John’s Wort, Siberian Ginseng and Spirulina for $15, 2oz RECOVERY  350mg CBD with Ginseng, Hawthorn and Willow Bark for $20.  They also brought tinctures: 100mg Sativa or Indica for $20, or 250mg CBD tincture for $35.  And chocolate covered coffee beans!
  • Fresh flavors from Green Acres – don’t sleep on this Cherry Cream Pie, Lemon Meringue and Purple Kush
  • 2 half gram doobies from Nerdie Birdie for only $8, there’s even a CBD strain!
  • REVOLUTION TACOS RETURNS TO DISCO BAY THIS WEEKEND (details below)

In other news I learned of a pre-legalization cannabis focused comedy album released in 1971 that was outlawed in the State of Washington at the time!  You can listen to it here on YouTube and see what the fuss was about.

This week at the Disco Bay Detour:

Open daily at 7am for COFFEE & NEWS

Thursdays are the Acoustic Open Mic Jam, bring your songs and instruments from 5-8pm

Friday 4/6 FlyLiteGemini and Micaela Kingslight –  FlyLiteGemini started as one man stomping his way through original folk, rock, and blues tunes. After 6 years and over 300 shows throughout the United States, Kalamazoo’s FlyPaper went on hiatus, and Vocalist/Guitarist/Bassist Joe Chamberlin found himself looking to keep the spirit of classic rock alive.  Joining him and playing her own music is local favorite Micaela Kingslight. Originally from Taos New Mexico, Micaela has decided to call Port Townsend home after touring nationally for 8 years out of Kalamazoo Michigan. With blues driven vocals and poetic lyrics along with fiercely elegant guitar skills, Micaela is a force of nature with a dash of the witty gritty.  $5 cover 7-10pm

Saturday 4/7 REVOLUTION TACOS RETURN TO DISCO BAY – Vicki and Ryan are back for season numero dos!  They’re planning to be here 12 to 6 Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting, staying later as it warms up!

Saturday 4/7 Greg Brotherton for Commissioner Listening Party and Music – Join candidate for District 3 County Commissioner, Greg Brotherton, for a conversation. Tell him what is important for you in a commissioner, and for the county – and then listen to music with special musical guests. Free 6-9pm

Monday 4/9  Monday Movie: Drawing the Tiger – Shot over seven years, Drawing the Tiger takes a sweeping view of one Nepalese family’s daily struggle to survive off of subsistence farming. When their bright daughter receives a scholarship to study in Kathmandu, the family’s prospects suddenly improve by leaps and bounds overnight. They rest their hopes and dreams on her narrow shoulders, but will the weight of their expectations crush her? Can she really break the cycle of poverty and redefine their collective destiny? She seems eager to try, promising to return and free her family from their hand-to-mouth existence. But when she doesn’t come home, the family is forced to face their fate. Is their future set in stone or sand; is it solid or ever-shifting? Drawing The Tiger is a powerful portrait of pressure and the price one family pays for their golden opportunity that reminds us of what we can and cannot change.
